Photo from Nancy Lee of the Hooiser Stitchers Group In Indiana. Nancy changed the colors in My Token of Love. It's beautiful!
Hello Karen - my project is finished and is being blocked and prepared for framing. The American Flag Quilt Sampler was stitched in needlepoint using only red, white, blue and gold. Many of the quilt patterns were changed, but the basic layout was used. The person I hired to convert the cross stitch to needlepoint basically gave up after laying it out and putting in the...ONE NATION UNDER GOD WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. That was a great help to me and I came up with the quilt patterns using several books of state quilts. Some I just designed myself. I told you several years ago I would send a picture of the finished project. Once it is framed, I will send another picture, if you like. This is the most challenging needlepoint project I have ever undertaken, but my husband and I are looking forward to having it hang in our home. Barbara, Monterey, VA
I just wanted to thank you for your beautiful designs which I have just recently discovered. I usually stitch Mirabilia designs, Lavender&Lace, Just Nan.
“I wanted to write and thank you so much for your design “As Ye Sow.” I have had the pattern for many years. I have always love it and wanted to stitch it. Finally in 2010 I got brave enough and started it. I had to purchase a large piece of material and just start working. I did not cut the fabric any smaller. I had such fun stitching the piece that I didn’t stop; so I kept going. I hope you don’t mind. I just kept adding to the project. At first, it was a few butterflies here and a couple of birds there. Then I went crazy and almost doubled the size of the pattern. I added another alphabet with my children’s names and a Bible verse about how children are a heritage for the Lord, a reword of Psalm 127:3, then to finish off flowers that were full of birds—for our last name and a few more creatures like cats, dogs and bunnies. I had the most fun working on this sampler. My children also love it. It is the neatest project I have ever done. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You have helped me make a family heirloom! Amy B.” Dear Karen, It was a great fun for me to stitch Your Spring Quakers, I enjoyed each cross, thank you very much! Erika
Dear Karen, I wanted to thank you very much for the last Rosewood Manor chart I ordered. I well received the booklet (Compass Quaker) together with very nice free charts. They are much appreciated! I'm looking forward to start stitching this new one. I just had my "And a Forest Grew" framed... My family and I really enjoy looking at it regularly...I stitched it for my son.. Every time, . It's a true walk in a true forest !! There are so many different trees and small animals.. I'm stitching since more than 10 years and this is surely one of my favourite designs. Attached a photo of this finished piece (sorry the photo is not that good!) I'm currently "working" on my "Family Reunion" and I enjoy it very much as well.. Thank you as well for creating so useful booklets for your designs. They are very comfortable and so easy to follow. Looking forward seeing the new designs you will surely create soon !!! Your are truly my favourite cross-stitch designer, I hope I will be able to stitch most of your designs ! Very kind regards from France and Switzerland where you are more and more appreciated by stitching women and men .. You can visit my cross Stitch blog at http://loisirsensavoie.over-blog.fr/ Olivier
