WILL NOT BE REPRINTED
Artist Statement: I love researching the names of quilt blocks and then using them in my designs. The Tree Of Life quilt block seemed perfect for a birth sampler and the verse I wrote for a newborn baby.
The chart includes the lettering for all personalizing!
******** Be Creative!*****
The Tree of Life quilt block could be added to the top of a box from Sudbury or Olde Colonial—you may have to change the fabric count!
Add the A, B, C blocks to a baby bib—stack the blocks or spell out a name to personalize!
You could add the extra blocks of the fish, cat, butterfly, duck or four patches or even the numbers to a bib or burp clothe for a baby gift.
Notice the quilt blocks that show up as ‘triangles” in the large quilt block, when two are put together they become a block! Add them to the letter blocks for a different look!
If stitched on very large count cloth you could personalize just about anything! Add to quilts, make names for a babies room, make blankets and more!
Put and initial block on baby booties!
Using a band—add the blocks to make a basket ribbon—add all kinds of “necessities” to the basket as a gift for the new Mom or the new baby!
If you don’t like the verse on the sampler—move the personalized area up and add the names of parents and grandparents—you have a family tree!
