Inspired by antique sampler motifs. This is the first in a series of twelve smaller samplers that can be stitched together to form one larger sampler or stitched individually. The first chart was released in February 2012, and the final chart was released February 2013.
The first chart will have details for layout for planning a larger sampler; when complete, there will be an entire alphabet and numbers included. All borders are the same and the last chart will have small motifs that can be inserted into the small spaces left between the samplers borders to complete the larger sampler.
Your sampler can be arranged in several other variations, you will need to plan your sampler.
You can stitch it on higher count fabric or over one thread to shrink the overall size..
*Individual samplers 109 X 109 stitches
*12 Samplers horizontally--6 on top and 6 on bottom row, with 1 stitch/space in between blocks 659 X 219 stitches
*12 samplers vertically--sets of 2 across and 6 down, with 1 stitch/space in between blocks 219 X 659 stitches
FABRIC: Zweigart, 28 ct Cashel, Ivory or Cream
Correction: The very top row of stitches on the border is missing! Please add the extra stitches to match the other three sides of the border. When I cut and pasted it, it got lost---so sorry for the confusion. It should match the borders in Nostalgia II and Nostaglia III.
